The Yuba Wildlife Project: “What happened to the porcupines?”

The Yuba Watershed Institute has been documenting the wildlife in the Inimim Forest on the San Juan Ridge as part of their stewardship project in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management ("Inimim" is the Nisenan word for ponderosa pine). At 7 p.m. on Nov. 9, Bob Erickson and John Warden will present highlights in an evening slideshow presentation of the photos collected in these first three years. The use of remote digital cameras to capture wildlife activity has raised more questions than answers. You never know who's hanging out in the woods watching us! The event will be in the community room of the Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City. For more information, call (530) 292-3777.
