High holiday services begin Saturday

Congregation B’nai Harim at the Nevada County Jewish Community Center (NCJCC) will be holding its High Holiday services at the its center at 506 Walsh Street, Grass Valley. The High Holiday services are as follows:

Selichot: 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31

Erev Rosh Hashanah: 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4

Rosh Hashanah: 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 5

Kol Nidre: 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13

Yom Kippur: 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14

These services have special rituals, music and liturgies. They are designed to stir our conscience, to challenge our personal priorities and to upgrade the quality of our life and the lives of those around us.
