Birdies for AnimalSave tickets now on sale

The Birdies for AnimalSave golf tournament will be on July 27 at the Nevada County Country Club. Organized by Mike and Margie Rademaker, the tournament includes 18 holes of golf, lunch and soft drinks. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and a four-person scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Entry deadline is July 20.
All players in the tournament will be entered in the Hole-In-One contest and have the opportunity to win a four-day vacation to Cancun for two, including a $500 per person round trip airfare credit and a three-night stay at the all inclusive Moon Palace Resort. The trip includes one round of golf per day and round-trip airport transfers.
Other great prizes and raffle items include a golf flag signed by Davis Love III, private wine tastings, a hotel stay at the Mont Bleu, private golf lessons, a health club membership, gift certificates to fine local restaurants and more.
The Nevada County Country Club is home to its very own rescue cat and mascot, Clubhouse Kitty.
Proceeds from the golf tournament will be donated to AnimalSave to help fund its animal rescue and welfare programs. AnimalSave's primary programs include the Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic that has altered 9,300 dogs and cats in the past five years and its Foster/Adoption Program that rescues and finds homes for more than 300 dogs and cats each year. The cost is $65 per player, which includes 18 holes, lunch and soft drinks. The Nevada County Country Club is located at 1040 E. Main St. in Grass Valley.
