2013 Annual Labor Law Seminar slated

The 2013 Annual Labor Law Seminar will be presented in partnership by the Nevada County Regional Chambers of Commerce, the Lawyer Referral Service of Northern California, One-Stop Business & Career Center, Nevada County Association of Realtors, The Union and the Sierra HR Association.
The seminar will from at 7:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, March 14 at Esterly Hall, located at the Association of Realtors, 336 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley.
The annual Labor Law update will cover such topics as recent court decisions, new developments in wage and hourly compensation requirements, social media as it relates to individual privacy rights, ADA requirements and an overview of different forms of employment discrimination.
Presenting again this year is Craig A. Diamond. He has tried cases throughout the State of California during his more than three decades of practicing law.
He has tried brain damage, wrongful death, traumatic amputations, products and premises liability cases, large value construction defect cases as well as commercial matters for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Also, presenting is Alexander G. Henry, a practicing employment law attorney, specializing in unlawful employment discrimination under both federal and state law. He previously worked as staff counsel for the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing, and successfully prosecuted a range of discrimination cases in state and federal court, as well as before the Fair Employment & Housing Commission.
He has extensive jury trial experience and has served as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at the University of California at Davis.
He continues to exclusively practice employment-related cases, including wage and hour, discrimination, and whistleblower claims on behalf of employees.
The registration fee includes breakfast, seminar materials and parking. The Chamber member (any Nevada County Chamber) or SHRM member fee is $60, the non-member fee is $70 and walk-in the day of (limited availability) fee is $80. There will be no refunds, however substitutions are welcome.
