Rotary 'Wine & Adventures' offers luxury auction items

Rotary Club hosts fundraiser

Those who attend the Nevada City Rotary Club’s Sept. 27 Adventures & Wine fundraiser will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres, as well as help local youth.

A Baja beach rental, a season pass at Sugar Bowl, a catered party at the Nevada City Bridge House and a Jackson Hole getaway package are among auction items offered. This is Rotary’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

The event, at 6 p.m. at Miners Foundry in Nevada City, includes wine, silent and live auctions, music by Mesmerhythym and hundreds of auction items. All proceeds benefit Focus on Youth programs, including scholarships, speech and music contests, camps and other services for local young people.

The ticket price ($20 in advance; $25 at the door) includes hors d’oeuvres, a glass of wine from Nevada County’s wineries, a no-host bar, three raffles and the live and silent auctions. Advance tickets are available at BriarPatch, the Book Seller and Harmony Books.
