A very brief agenda is on tap for the Grass Valley City Council meeting tonight.
Recently appointed Grass Valley firefighter Roque Barrera will be introduced in a swearing-in ceremony at the council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m.
Other than the consent calendar, the only item on the agenda is a public hearing and resolution related to a request for tax-exempt bonds to finance and refinance capital improvements and additions for Eskaton Village.
Eskaton Village Grass Valley owns and operates a senior residential and care facility located at 625 Eskaton Circle. Eskaton Properties Inc. has submitted an application to finance and refinance certain capital improvements and additions to existing senior residential and care facilities. The proceeds of the bonds will be loaned to EPI to finance and refinance principal amount of up to $60 million in tax-exempt bonds.
Action by the Grass Valley City Council must be taken in order for the Association of Bay Area Governments to proceed with the bond financing. This proposed action is an endorsement of financing and does not commit the city to financial responsibility.
