Tapestry raises funds for Hospitality House

The Tapestry Network (formerly The BAM Project), a Christian businesswomen’s organization, just conducted its monthly gathering at the Holbrooke Hotel to raise funds and awareness for Nevada County’s Hospitality House.

The 27 guests in attendance donated a dozen raffle prizes and $175 was donated to Joanna Robinson of the Hospitality House. The guest speaker, Holly LaChappell, is a founding member of The Tapestry Network, and donated a portion of her sales from her book, “Reining Fire to Anew Day.”

““We have just started our second year in Nevada County, and the significant results we are having in a variety of areas are monumental,” said Melisa Mistler, director of the Nevada County branch of The Tapestry Network.

The philanthropic group announced their next fundraising efforts, for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County. The goal is to raise $1,000 for the bowl-a-thon. To donate online, visit
