Easter egg hunt set for Scotten school field


Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt for kids of all ages at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Scotten Elementary School Field.

Come a little early to play on the playground, jump in the inflatable or have a family photo taken.

We will be at the Scotten Elementary field,10821 Squirrel Creek Road, Grass Valley. There will be a special area for toddlers and those with disabilities.

Bring you own basket and join in the fun hunting for hundreds of candy-filled eggs. The area where the kids hunt for eggs will be divided into age groups.

Don’t forget your cameras and the hunt will be held rain or shine. ‘Hole in the road’ breakfast set for April 13

The Rough and Ready Grange’s Monthly Fundraising Breakfast to help with the “hole in the road,” is set for 8 to 10 a.m. April 13.

Rough and Ready Grange Hall is located at 14550 Rough and Ready Highway.

The breakfast features entertainment by “Dancin’ Maters” and the Rough and Ready Fruit Jar Pickers. The menu consists of cooked-to-order eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and pancakes, along with orange juice and coffee. The Rough and Ready Fruit Jar Pickers normally play at 9 a.m. Come one, come all and be sure to tell your friends and neighbors about the friendliest breakfast in town. All for $5.
