The Nevada Union boys basketball team opened the Sierra Foothill League season Thursday night with a thrilling double-overtime road victory over Woodcreek, 75-68. After trailing by eight at halftime, the Miners chipped away at the Timberwolves’ lead, getting it down to four by the final quarter of regulation.
