In response to parental concerns following December’s Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn., Union Hill School District is working with local law enforcement to provide a forum about safety today. “We had quite a few parent phone calls and it’s intended for our parent population because they have expressed concern after the Connecticut incident,” said Union Hill Superintendent Susan Barry. “Parents may have specific questions as to protocol and we just want them to feel informed.” The meeting is open to the public, but will address Union Hill’s campus specifically. “I think the information from (Grass Valley Police …
