Nevada County can expect light and scattered showers early today, before a brief break, and the likely return of rain over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Sacramento. “We still have a little bit of instability and lingering moisture, so there are still some scattered showers and any precipitation will be light,” said Craig Shoemaker, forecaster for the weather service.
