Snow expected to hit Thursday night

Inhabitants of western Nevada County may finally awake to a blanket of white on Friday morning. Weather forecasters are predicting snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches for elevations at 3,000 feet and above as the first wave of a multi-system storm is expected to hit the area Thursday night and continue into Friday morning, said Tom Dang of the National Weather Service. “Some places in Nevada County may get snow and some may not,” Dang said.
