The Grass Valley Downtown Association intends to entertain the community and increase tourism in downtown Grass Valley this winter by installing a temporary ice-skating rink at Gold Country Inn-Holiday Inn Express Jan. 18-21. The family-friendly weekend will also feature a DJ and a life-size snow globe, where guests can go inside to take photos. With no intention of making a profit, the GVDA is aiming to keep admission costs as low as possible with hopes of eliminating them all together, according to a news release.
