A Portland, Ore. man was hospitalized with severe leg injuries Saturday after sliding about 400 feet during a snowshoe hike of Mount Tallac. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team received a report of an injured hiker near the 9,735 feet peak about 12:05 p.m. Saturday, according to a Monday statement from the sheriff’s office.
