Since 1988, when Beth Moorhead chaired the first “Tree of Love” fundraiser, Friends of Hospice has displayed, during the month of December, a beautiful lighted tree, each bright light a tribute to a loved one cared for by Hospice of the Foothills. Children loved it and were positive that a particular colored light was their grandpa’s light. Over the years, through involved members of the community, our tree was displayed by Weiss Brothers Nursery, Superior Propane and for many years at the Sierra Presbyterian Church in Nevada City.
