The Bear River boys basketball team improved to 4-0 this season by outlasting San Juan, 51-47, Tuesday night at Jack R. McCrory Gymnasium. The Bruins held on for the victory despite having their star post player, Justin Beskeen, in foul trouble for much of the second half. Beskeen led the Bruins with 22 points, but picked up his fourth foul with more than 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter. Beskeen would sit until halfway through the fourth, but fouled out just minutes after re-entering the game. With Beskeen on the bench, Bear River got a lift from Tyler Hajewski. …
