Bargain Alley offers variety of new and used goods

Bargain Alley, a new and used goods store, is offering a selection of items from furniture to clothing and housewares.

“We are hoping to bring more business,” said co-owner Donna Wood. “We have a lot to sell.”

She and husband Ronald Daugherty bought out a goods store in Lodi and have purchased items from estate sales.

They sold items at flea markets for 13 years until opening up their Grass Valley location on Olympia Park Road.

“We have books, shoes, clothes, rugs, T-shirts, beanies, jackets, purses and furniture,” Wood said.

The newly acquired items are mostly purchased through liquidations and online sales.

The store has been open since Oct. 25 and Wood said business has been inconsistent, but with a mostly positive response.

“People like it,” Wood said. “Usually when people don’t have to hunt for a good price.”

The couple also plans to expand the location during the warmer months.

“We are planning to set up a patio in the summertime,” Wood said.

The store is located at 148 Olympia Park Road in Grass Valley and the store can be contacted at (530) 477-7111.
