During one of the heaviest traffic periods, Nevada County witnessed a relatively quiet holiday on the roads, said highway patrol officials. There were no DUI citations issued in Nevada County during the Thanksgiving Holiday, said Mike Lawrence of the California Highway Patrol. “Everything’s been going smoothly,” Lawrence said. There were two non-injury accidents during the holiday period, one of which occurred Friday afternoon near the intersection of Shoshoni Trail Court and Highway 49.
