Police Blotter: Dorsey geyser, drunk throws food


Grass Valley Police Department

Thursday

3:10 a.m. - A caller from the 1000 block of East Main Street reported a male on his property yelling. The caller believed it was his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.

8:04 a.m. - A caller from the 800 block of East Main Street reported her purse stolen overnight as she was staying at a homeless shelter.

10:28 a.m. - A caller from the 300 block of Columbia Avenue reported vandalism to his vehicle.

3:15 p.m. - A caller from the South Church lot reported his 1999 GMC Suburban stolen. The vehicle was last seen Wednesday evening.

4:38 p.m. - A caller from Dorsey Drive reported a “geyser” of water coming from the street.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office

7:54 a.m. - A caller from the 11000 block of State Route 174 reported her vehicle was broken into overnight.

9:20 a.m. - A caller from the 15000 block of Johnson Place reported a security camera taken from a business overnight.

10:36 a.m. - A caller from the 10000 block of School Street reported the theft of his motorized scooter. He reportedly sold it to a man, who has not paid but is nonetheless trying to sell the scooter.

7:08 p.m. - A caller from the 21000 block of Running Horse Road reported a male subject who had apparently been drinking was in the yard with multiple scratches and a possible head injury.

9:45 p.m. - A caller from the 11000 Brunswick Road reported he was struck in the face and the man who hit him was headed toward Colfax in a white van.

10:41 p.m. - A caller from the 21000 block of Running Horse Road reported his roommate was causing problems, strutting around aggressively, calling people names and “pushing his chest out.”

11:08 p.m. - A caller from McCourtney Road reported hearing six gunshots followed by screaming.

1:44 a.m. - A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported an individual urinating in public.

5:03 p.m. - A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a very intoxicated individual was outside of a business yelling and throwing sandwiches at a balcony.
