A Santa Cruz man was driving drunk when he crashed his pickup truck Saturday night on the San Juan Ridge, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol. Benedeck Giattino, 27, was driving westbound on Tyler Foote Crossing Road, west of Oak Tree Road, at about 10:40 p.m. at a high rate of speed, according to the CHP report.
