Drivers planning to take the Pine Street bridge to downtown Nevada City or to Seven Hill Business District will need to find another route, as the bridge will be closed today and again Oct. 9, according to city workers. The 16-year-old bridge will be closed for basic maintenance, such as cleaning, application of epoxy sealer and laying concrete, said Verne Taylor, the city’s public works director. DMCE Concrete and Engineering Contractors is doing the concrete work for $19,950, Taylor said. Funding for the work comes from Measure S.
