Thomas Richard Rice died Nov. 18, 2007, at the Grass Valley Medical Facility. He was 95.In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.Mr. Rice was born Feb. 25, 1912, in Dodge City, Kan., to Wally and Hazel Rice. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan and Germany. He served in the Army from 1933 to 1958 and retired as a staff sergeant.
