Sweltering summer temperatures rendered the 2012 incarnation of the Nevada County Fair as primarily a night event, organizers said. While the final attendance numbers have yet to be processed, Nevada County Fair Spokeswoman Wendy Oaks noticed a dip in attendance during the day, likely due to the daytime highs that soared into triple digits.
