Police blotter: Neighbor violating lease by smoking pot


Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

9:23 a.m. — A caller from Morgan Ranch Drive requested extra patrols for constant speeders.

10:13 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Melissa Court reported identity theft.

12:54 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a neighbor smokes marijuana and makes his children ill. The resident was described as a heavy pot smoker without a recommendation. The apartment manager was giving the tenant a lease violation notice.

1:51 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Manor Drive reported people were extorting money from him.

2:10 p.m. — A man from Glenwood Avenue reported someone used his name and ID to commit crimes.

4 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Holbrooke Way reported a burglary to a vehicle.

4:26 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported a woman who seemed disoriented and who didn’t know where she was. The woman was contacted and appeared lucid, and said she likes police officers because they are useful people.

4:52 p.m. — A caller from Elisabeth Daniels Park reported a man passed out or sleeping next to the bathrooms, who was admonished.

5:46 p.m. — A caller from Pelton Way and Scadden Drive reported a man in a vehicle driving back and forth, honking the horn and flipping people off.

9:32 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported a woman stole $86 from his bank account.

11:10 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Holbrooke Way reported a drunken man parked in her driveway, who got in her hot tub and turned off her electricity before leaving. At 11:55 p.m., she reported he had returned. He was arrested on a warrant.

12:47 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man looking into vehicles.

4:43 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Murphy Street reported a man assaulted a woman. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

9:02 a.m. — A caller from Lake Spaulding campground reported the theft of bolt cutters and of money from the money boxes.

9:51 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of East Bennett Road reported a burglary into a yard and into several vehicles.

10:34 a.m. — A caller from Blue Tent School Road reported finding an open window on a vacant residence. Nothing was located.

10:42 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Polaris Drive reported a dog attacked livestock last night.

11:05 a.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Lone Bobcat Way reported vandalism.

11:23 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Weeping Willow Way reported identity theft.

11:30 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Gracie Road reported finding possible stolen items.

1:29 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Killian Road reported an assault.

3:26 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Cottrell Road reported an embezzled horse.

4:01 p.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Green Valley Road reported two vehicle tires had been slashed last night.

5:31 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Wild Turkey Lane reported multiple bullets flew by her head; nothing was located.

Wednesday

12:22 a.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Burke Road reported hearing people walking around a property. No one was located.

Tuesday

9:38 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Nimrod Street reported a large group of motorcyclists drinking from open containers and being loud, and sleeping in the dugouts.

9:51 a.m. — A caller from Robinson Plaza reported vandalism to a bathroom.
