Police blotter: Mysterious footprints reported


Grass Valley Police Department

Thursday

8:46 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Brighton Street reported finding a sawed-off shotgun behind a washing machine. It was not a real gun.

9:05 a.m. — A caller reported filing his taxes with a tax service, which never filed with the IRS. A report was taken.

9:47 a.m. — A caller from NID reported a burglary to the main yard on West Main Street.

11:31 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported the theft of more than $200 from a cash register.

4:40 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported finding footsteps coming in a bedroom window that went around the bed.

5:47 p.m. — A caller from Rustic Lane and Richardson Street reported a physical fight involving a man and a woman. She could not be located.

6:14 p.m. — A caller from Highway 40 reported road rage with a motorcyclist throwing a bolt at the caller’s vehicle.

6:26 p.m. — A caller from Neal and South Auburn streets reported a teen girl was walking by and a man pulled up in a vehicle, asked her questions and was masturbating. A report was taken.

10:42 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Linden Avenue reported hearing someone in a residence.

10:52 p.m. — A man from the 1800 block of East Main Street was talking about meth heads and tweakers before the line was disconnected. He called back to report trespassers making noise.

2:03 a.m. — A person sleeping on the ground was told to move on in the 1000 block of Plaza Drive.

8:17 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Butterfly Place reported a man and a woman yelling about marijuana.

8:33 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Winterwood Lane reported a bear trying to get into a house, which then left.

11:12 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Casey Ranch Road reported an assault.

12:12 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lake Wildwood Drive reported a trespasser.

1:10 p.m. — A woman from Dog Bar Road at the bridge reported she was on the trail and a man in the bushes exposed himself to her. He then followed her to her vehicle before leaving.

2:27 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Orion Way reported identity theft.

2:44 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Buck Ridge Road reported a fox problem.

2:54 p.m. — A woman from the 17000 block of Norlene Way reported a person posted her car as being for reported sale on Craigslist.

5:39 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Happy Dale Court reported a drunken man was refusing to leave and punched a window. He then went into the yard and was yelling and screaming.

6:52 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Red Dog Road reported a burglary.

9:08 p.m. — A caller from Wolf and Lime Kiln roads reported a vehicle passed over double yellow lines, then crashed through a fence and had a fence post through the windshield. No further information was available.

10:54 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Fairy Ring Mushroom Court reported possible animal cruelty with goats locked out of a pen.

11:05 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of red Dog Road reported a dispute with yelling and screaming and people possibly throwing wood at each other.

11:06 p.m. — A caller from Dog Bar and la Barr Meadows roads reported a bear was struck by a vehicle.

11:34 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Rough and ready Road reported that a juvenile eon probation was found with marijuana.

Friday

12:39 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Orchard Springs Road reported a very intoxicated and injured man in the road.

3:19 a.m. — A person was found sleeping in the teepee across from Calanan Park.
