Police blotter: Dangerous doughnuts, help with handcuffs needed


Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

7:48 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Highlands Court reported ongoing drug activity.

10:08 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a woman possibly exchanging drugs.

10:20 a.m. — A caller requested assistance in taking handcuffs off his hands.

1:08 p.m. — A woman from the 400 block of Mill Street reported a burglary to a vehicle.

2:59 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported treating an assault victim from the 1000 block of Sutton Way.

4:03 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported a truck doing doughnuts. At 5:12 p.m., a caller from Whiting and West Empire streets reported a truck almost hit a pedestrian while doing doughnuts.

4:10 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported the theft of a cell phone.

4:35 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported someone left dog feces on a front porch and spit on a front door.

5:46 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Forest Glade Circle reported a man on a front porch smoking marijuana, who could not be located.

9:08 p.m. — A suspected shoplifter was arrested in the 100 block of Neal Street.

9:54 p.m. — A caller from East Main and Richardson streets reported people possibly smoking marijuana inside a vehicle.

10:08 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Glenwood Avenue reported the theft of medication. An officer attempted contact at 10:45 p.m. The man would not get out of bed to open the door and told the officer to go away because he needed his space and his sleep.

10:09 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifter. A boy was cited and released to a parent.

11:36 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported a man going through Dumpsters, who was moving on.

1:53 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Kate Hayes Street reported a loud party.

6:45 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Mill Street reported a Jeep was vandalized.

9:36 a.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of McCourtney Road reported she was involved in a vehicle accident and the other party forced her to go to their insurance office against her will.

9:52 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Clover Road reported the theft of plants and a lock.

10:27 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Auburn Road reported possible squatters in a residence.

10:29 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lakeshore North reported a possible scam.

10:41 a.m. — A caller reported a former inmate might be in possession of a weapon.

12:08 p.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Highway 49 reported two runaway juveniles had returned.

12:14 p.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Tyler Foote Crossing Road reported someone took items out of her purse.

1:07 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway and North Ponderosa Way reported trespassers swimming in a creek.

1:34 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Altair Drive reported a theft.

3:21 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Sun Shadow Drive reported lost emus.

3:51 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Auburn Road reported the theft of a vehicle battery.

4:16 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Woodleaf Drive reported a bad check.

7:11 p.m. — A man from Jasper Agate Court reported a drunken woman had a cut on her head. She was being combative and did not want to be transported. At 7:55 p.m., a caller reported she was becoming even more combative.

7:37 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Palmer Road reported the theft of a cell phone.

7:44 p.m. — A caller from the 25000 block of Rodeo Flat Road reported possible drug activity.

8 p.m. — A woman from Bernadine Court reported a man pushed her into a rack and then left.

8:40 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Wildflower Drive reported multiple dirt bike riders; they could not be located.

9:12 p.m. — A woman from Bristow Court reported a man pushed her in the face; another person reported he might have kicked her car door and hit her in the head. He said she was refusing to leave and was armed with a bat. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

9:47 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Monte Vista Drive reported people cutting down manzanita.

Thursday

12:07 a.m. — A girl from Francis Drive reported an unwanted man was acting strangely and who threatened to knock a girl out.

10:57 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Orchard Street reported a fraud.

5:49 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Nimrod Street reported two men approached two boys and asked them if they wanted to play. They could not be located.
