Sacred music performer to speak, play Sunday in Grass Valleyu

At Sierra Center for Spiritual Living in Grass Valley, Kathy Zavada will be the featured guest speaker and musical performer at both services Sunday.

She will speak on the book "The Untethered Soul," and share brand new music from a CD she co-created with the book's author, Michael A. Singer, entitled "Songs Of The Untethered Soul."

Zavada is a nationally acclaimed recording/performing artist of sacred music who's extensive CDs have been voted in the Top 10 best by Her music is downloaded from iTunes to every corner of the planet. She is also an ordained interfaith minister and skillful retreat and workshop facilitator, and offers retreats in some of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Michael Singer was Zavada's first spiritual teacher in 1975 and she will share stories of their powerful connection over the years.

In her talks and workshop, Zavada will explore the spiritual path of nonresistance, look at becoming free from attachment to desires and aversion to fears, and examine how we live with an untethered heart, awake and in love.

She will share a workshop after the service with a more in-depth look at the book, share music from the companion CD, and share stories of this journey of awakening. The workshop will be two hours and has a suggested "love offering" of $20.

Services are at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday.
