Police blotter: Watermelon vodka theft, chicken-chasing dog

8:29 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported two or three men in a physical fight, with one running across a balcony. They said it was a verbal dispute only.
9:34 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man stole watermelon Smirnoff.
11:28 a.m. — A caller from Church Street reported a man on the ground with his pants down.
1:15 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported three people in a fight that might become physical.
2:44 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported a person did not return a vehicle they rented two months ago.
4:11 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a panhandler threatening employees.
4:24 p.m. — A caller from Bennett Street and Kidder Avenue reported two men camping.
5 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported her son stole several packs of cigarettes from her; she did not want charges.
7:08 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Le Duc Street reported a residential burglary with the front door broken open.
7:25 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Upper Slate Creek Road reported a dog had been going after her chickens.
7:26 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported an unwanted man possibly had a knife, but had left on foot. He could not be located.
8:44 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man eating out of the dry food bins and refusing to leave. He was gone when officers arrived.
9:02 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a woman stole a number of cosmetics and fled, dropping her purse. The items and drug paraphernalia were recovered.
9:33 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man looking in vehicles; he could not be located.
5:56 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a man came in her residence and into her bedroom and kissed her; he left when she told him to.

9:27 a.m. — A woman from Western Gateway Park reported a person took her car keys and was walking away. The keys were returned.
10:58 a.m. — A caller from Combie Road reported a man possibly dealing drugs; he could not be located.
11:56 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lower Circle Drive reported a fraud.
12:15 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway and Banner Lava Cap Road reported a woman possibly smoking weed with a bong; she was gone when deputies arrived.
1:28 p.m. — A caller from Robin Street reported a theft.
2:07 p.m. — A woman from a business in the 18000 block of Highway 20 reported the theft of a Jeep Cherokee. She called Grass Valley Police at 8:16 p.m. to report a man had the vehicle but would not give it back.
3:19 p.m. — A woman from Foothill Road reported a theft of an Apple laptop.
6:59 p.m. — A caller from Bitney Springs and Pleasant Valley roads reported two donkeys in the road. The owners were located.
11:44 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 13000 block of Highway 49 reported a man checked in and said he was delivering drugs in the area, was jumpy and very talkative.
1:18 a.m. — A man from Warbler Way reported his daughter was having a hard time; she said her nephew threw water in her face.

9:39 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Brock Road reported signs of drug activity by previous tenants.
11:18 a.m. — A caller from Commercial Street reported a man on the ground with his pants down. He could not be located.
