Police blotter: Victim of Canadian lottery scam reported

11:11 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of LaMarque Court reported a burglary to a vehicle with various items stolen.
3:01 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick and Idaho-Maryland roads reported a driver running stop signs and stoplights; no one was located.
4:58 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Plaza Drive reported three men ran out of a restaurant without paying. One of the men had handed the waitress a prepaid Visa card and fled when she went to run the card. Using the name on the card, one of the suspects was contacted and admitted to the crime. He was cited on suspicion of defrauding a business and released.
6 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of East Berryhill Drive reported a fight involving a woman and a boy, with the woman throwing items at him and punching him.

6:50 p.m. — A caller from Primrose Lane reported a burglary to a shed with items stolen.
6:56 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man standing over another man on his knees, in the parking lot, and requested a welfare check. No one was located.
7:01 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported someone spray-painted her vehicle and blocked it in with a dumpster. There also was damage to neighboring businesses.
7:45 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported drunken transients; they were doing their laundry.
8:58 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of South Auburn Street reported three boys prowling around a business, checking locked doors and possibly casing the area. They could not be located.
2:19 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man sleeping in a truck, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
5:42 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man screaming and out of control. He was frustrated with car issues.

8:17 a.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Sierra Drive reported a burglary to a vehicle overnight.
8:34 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported a phone scam.
8:55 a.m. — A caller from Magnolia School reported a girl brought alcohol to school yesterday.
9:43 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Greenhorn Road reported a door had been kicked in to a granny unit during a dispute.
11:36 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Spenceville Road reported a residential burglary with the back door broken off and the house ransacked.
12:53 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Quail Creek Road reported a man pulled a long-barrel rifle on him and threatened to shoot him, and was holding a woman hostage. A man was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a weapon, making criminal threats and driving on a suspended license.
1:34 p.m. — A caller from Grizzly Hill School reported a possible stolen cell phone.
1:35 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Dolores Drive reported her vehicle was gone through last night and her registration and insurance information was missing.
2:06 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Straight Street reported fraud.
2:07 p.m. — A person from the 13000 block of Brass Circle sought treatment for an assault that occurred last night.
2:11 p.m. — A caller from the Placer County Sheriff's Office reported a person from the 13000 block of Highway 174 was the victim of a Canadian lottery phone scam and had written 11 checks ranging from $1,000 to $9,800. The bank had received a call from someone claiming to be a deputy about this case and had sent a photo of one of the checks.
2:33 p.m. — A caller from Magnolia and Dog Bar roads reported a possibly drunken man stumbling in the road. At 2:44 p.m., a caller from Magnolia Road and Adamson Drive reported a drunken man stumbling all over, covered in blood. At 2:59 p.m., a caller reported his pants were off. The California Highway Patrol responded.
2:56 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Gold Flat Road reported a man tried to choke her and tried to take her phone, then told her he would kill her if he was arrested. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse, intimidating a witness and damaging phone.
6:17 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Spenceville Road reported hearing shooting.
6:23 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Gilmore Way reported the theft of an iPad from a classroom.
10:19 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Indian Springs Road reported a residential burglary and the theft of a brown Ford Ranger with a lumber rack.
8:11 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Flume Street reported drug activity, and requested extra patrols at night.
9:55 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Lakeshore South reported a residential burglary.
11:15 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Fair Oaks Drive reported the theft of a desk.
11:29 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 16000 block of Duggans Road reported a burglary with multiple items missing.
1:19 p.m. — A man from the 14000 block of Garden Bar Road reported the theft of a credit card.
1:24 p.m. — A caller from Clear Creek School reported five men on the roof, who were run off by staff.
4:12 p.m. — A woman from the 2700 block of Highway 49 reported two trespassers dropping a truck off on her property.
7:07 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Jessie Lane reported a missing 3-year-old girl, who was located asleep under a pile of clothes.
12:55 a.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Pasquale Road reported her daughter was trying to break into her room. The daughter said her mother had snuck into her purse and stole her cigarettes, and she wanted to get them back. The situation was mediated.
