Police blotter: ‘Totally drunk’ man opts to sleep it off inside van

7:15 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Sutton Way reported an attempted burglary to an apartment.
7:42 a.m. — A caller from Lloyd and Walsh streets requested extra patrols due to recent auto burglaries.
8:55 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Crown Point Circle reported several vehicles in a parking lot had the gas siphoned out and requested extra patrols.
9:08 a.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland Road and Sutton Way reported homeless people and drug dealing on a vacant parcel.
12:41 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of West Main Street reported an assault by a juvenile, who was cited.
12:49 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported a juvenile assaulted another juvenile.
1:48 p.m. — A woman from the 700 block of Morgan Ranch Road reported a man who had been soliciting took something from her yard two weeks ago.
2:02 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Main Street reported a person used a bad credit card.
2:42 p.m. — A caller from South Church Street reported a "totally drunk" man trying to start a van. He was found sleeping in the cargo area, and a taxi was called.
2:48 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported a man ran out of a store after stealing clothes and shoes. A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued.
3:40 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a panhandler possibly passed out, who was cited.
4:17 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported a theft.
4:39 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway reported a man sleeping in the grass with a stolen shopping cart; he was cited.
9:07 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported the theft of two cell phones.
4:50 a.m. — A woman from Sutton Way reported her neighbors are bothering her with beeping and want to kill her because they have an attachment to her.
5:49 a.m. — A caller from the 1800 block of East Main Street reported trespassers in an empty cabin. A man and a woman were arrested on outstanding warrants.

8:27 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive reported an office had been ransacked and the windows were all broken out.
10:02 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Banner Quaker Hill Road reported a possibly physical fight in a vehicle; it could not be located.
10:11 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported an attempted burglary at a residence.
10:37 a.m. — A caller from Banner Quaker Hill and Pasquale roads reported a suspicious vehicle with no plates leaving the area at a high rate of speed. It could not be located.
2:57 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of La Barr Meadows Road reported locating a small, smoldering fire near the front door of a residence.
3:15 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Lowell Hill Road reported two men in a pickup with a rifle sticking out of the driver's side window. Fish and Wildlife was advised.
3:29 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Jupiter Drive reported three men in a truck possibly casing the area.
4:04 p.m. — A woman from La Barr Meadows and Dog Bar roads reported possibly having been drugged at a party on Oct. 19.
5:25 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Butler Road reported a person borrowed a vehicle a month ago and had not returned it. The suspect was found to be in custody in Placer County for grand theft auto.
7:06 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Rachel Lane reported a neighborhood dog killed the caller's dog.
8:33 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lowhills Road reported hearing three rifle shots.

4:01 p.m. — A caller from downtown reported the theft of a backpack and phone, but the theft was found to have occurred in Grass Valley.
7:45 p.m. — A caller from Zion Street reported possible drug activity.
