Police blotter: Multiple reports of stolen mail off Rattlesnake Road

Wednesday

7:30 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of South Auburn Street reported a burglary to a business.

8:39 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Mill Street reported a man choking a woman; a report was taken.

9:25 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a flower pot was smoldering.

11:09 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Sutton Way reported some narcotics were missing.

11:37 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Doris Drive reported the theft of a bicycle.

11:54 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a dine and dash. The situation was mediated and a woman was advised not to return.

1:19 p.m. — A caller from Arcadia and Cypress Hill drives reported the theft of a wallet.

3:49 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Arcadia Drive reported finding a credit card in the front yard.

4:28 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a physical fight with a man who stole eights DVDs, who then jumped the fence and fled on foot. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and violating probation.

5:05 p.m. — A caller from East Main and Eureka streets reported a small 2- to 3-year-old boy running down the sidewalk by himself. At 5:12 p.m., a caller from the 300 block of East Main Street reported finding a 2- to 3-year-old child walking on the road, and was taking the child inside. A report was taken.

5:47 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of North School Street reported a person entered a residence and took items.

6:21 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man refusing to leave, who said he had taken a knife. The man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

7:33 p.m. — A caller from Mohawk and South Auburn streets reported three people with flashlights and dark clothes came out of the bushes. One was carrying a bag and they were looking in vehicles. They could not be located on an area check.

8:10 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of South Auburn Street reported a possible vehicle theft. A stereo possibly had been stolen, but not a vehicle.

9:32 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of East Main Street reported the theft of a purse.

2:36 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of West Main Street reported a man in the parking lot completely losing it and yelling. He was cited on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

8:37 a.m. — A caller from Broken Oaks Court reported a truck was taken under suspicious circumstances.

9:09 a.m. — A caller from Gold Flat and Sneath Clay roads reported finding three bicycles, two of which were thrown in the bushes.

9:45 a.m. — A caller from Lower Colfax and Rattlesnake roads reported finding a pile of mail.

10:01 a.m. — A caller reported finding a bicycle at Gold Flat Road and Railroad Avenue.

10:22 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Woolman Lane reported a dog attack.

10:31 a.m. — A woman from Robinson Road reported a man got physical with her, then stole a vehicle and two pounds of marijuana. He then returned the vehicle and left again on foot.

11:38 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Stinson Drive reported a man showed up who claimed to be there to assess fire damage, would not say who sent him, then said the only thing you hear on the scanner is dead babies.

1:33 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of West Brookview Drive reported the theft of mail.

1:34 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Brookview Drive Circle reported the theft of mail.

1:34 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of West Brookview Drive reported mail theft.

1:35 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Brookview Drive Circle reported a theft.

4:17 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported a fraud.

5:21 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported a woman yelling and lunging at vehicles. She was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.

5:48 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Lime Kiln Road reported a vehicle going over 100 mph, passing on the shoulder.

5:16 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported a possible trespasser in the backyard; no one was located.
