At 1:02 a.m. Sunday, a caller from the 100 block of Bank Street in Grass Valley reported a “drunken wedding party smoking marijuana;” about 20 people were in a room. The party was moved to a banquet room. Officers could not find anyone smoking marijuana.

7:26 a.m. – A person reported the rear license plate of a vehicle had been stolen on the 300 block of South Church Street.
11:20 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a locked vehicle was broken into during the night.
11:45 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of East Main Street reported a man had been camping in a tent near Wolf Creek for three days.
1:13 p.m. – A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported about 30 youths were “throwing things at cars and smoking cigarettes,” and it was an ongoing issue.
8:55 a.m. – A counterfeit $100 bill was received at a business on the 700 block of Taylorville Road.
10:52 a.m. – A motorcycle was reported down and possibly under the guard rail on Highway 49 at Highway 20.
12:26 p.m. – A caller from Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital reported locating a homeless camp and asked that an officer make contact before dismantling the camp.
1:39 p.m. – An employee from a business on the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a person had tried to steal items from the store. Police found the man at a nearby business, and the items were recovered.
2:49 p.m. – Several people flagged down an officer regarding a man’s “bizarre behavior” at the Post Office.
1:47 p.m. – Several people called to report a fight between a transient man and woman on Brunswick Road near Sutton Way. The man had a shopping cart.
3:30 p.m. – A caller from West Main Street reported a television with the glass side down on the sidewalk. The caller warned “if someone were to drop it, the compression could kill someone and gas coming out could be noxious.” The beat officer was advised.
3:57 p.m. – A caller from the area of Arcadia, Castlemont and Lidster streets reported motorcycles “up and down the street in excess of 80 mph.”
1:02 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported a “drunken wedding party smoking marijuana;” about 20 people were in a room. The party was moved to a banquet room. Officers could not find anyone smoking marijuana.

9:44 a.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Durbrow Road reported the theft of aluminum wire; bout 600 yards had been dragged to a neighboring property. A deputy responded; the wire was not recovered, but “the money they received from selling it was turned over to the victim.” A Grass Valley man was arrested at his residence and booked into jail on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and violating probation; bail was set at $1,000.
1:31 p.m. – A vehicle stop on the 11000 block of La Barr Meadows Road led to the arrest of two Grass Valley men. One was arrested for violating felony parole; he was being held without bail. The other was arrested on a Shasta County warrant regarding license requirements; bail was set at $10,000.
3:14 p.m. – Lake of the Pines security reported a goose with wire wrapped around its feet. The goose was able to fly.
3:19 p.m. – A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued for a parolee who allegedly allowed an ankle monitor to go dead and who also “tested positive recently.” He was last seen on the 500 block of South Auburn Street and on Torrey Pines Road. He was wanted for violating parole.
4:05 p.m. – A man on the 10000 block of Gautier Drive reported a fight with a teenage boy. At 5:17 p.m., a man said he was at the hospital emergency room with his son, who had been injured in the fight.
5:27 p.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Banner Mountain Trail reported the motion detector for the basement door had sounded. Homeowners had found a bear in their basement earlier in the week and wanted to alert authorities.
9:59 p.m. – A fight was reported on the 11000 block of Lake Wildwood Drive. Everyone had been drinking. A man was unresponsive on the front porch.
11:50 a.m. – Extra patrol was requested in Steep Hollow.
3:11 p.m. – A caller reported a man in a ditch on Highway 49 at Carriage Road. A deputy arrested an Auburn man and booked him on suspicion of drunk and disorderly conduct. He was released on $750 bail.
4:36 p.m. – Lightning was reported on the 14000 block of Idaho-Maryland Road.
5:16 p.m. – A caller from the 15000 block of Nugget Street reported a large fire.
3:21 a.m. – A vehicle accident was reported to be blocking a roadway on Highway 20 at harmony Ridge. A caller reported “someone in a black Chevy was shooting at him.” A white truck with a lumber rack was reported to be involved. Six shots were heard fired. The California Highway Patrol arrested a Grass Valley man at Highway 20 near Steep Hill and booked him on suspicion of driving under the influence. The man was released on $1,400 bail.
6:56 a.m. – A fight was reported at a business on the 13000 block of Highway 174 in Cedar Ridge. A man was reported to be “coming at employees” while “armed with a broken bottle;” the man was bleeding from his mouth. A person was arrested and booked on suspicion of aggravated assault and burglary.

3:26 p.m. – A man called twice saying his wife refused to complete a custody exchange. An officer was with a couple regarding a custody issue and found there was no custody order. A Grass Valley man was arrested at the Rood Administrative Center and booked on suspicion of violating an order against domestic violence; he was released on $750 bail. A vehicle was towed from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue.
6:45 a.m. – A man was causing a disturbance and yelling profanities on Broad Street at North Pine, and he “appeared to be having some sort of psychotic episode.” The man had been seen earlier on the Broad Street overpass leaning over the edge. At 10:05 a.m., a man with a similar description was reported on the 16000 block of Old Downieville Highway walking through a caller’s yard.
7:22 p.m. – A man from the 800 block of Nevada Street reported he was being assaulted by his wife. A Nevada City man was arrested and booked on suspicion of battering a spouse and violating a restraining order. Bail was set at $5,000.
