Police blotter: Man called 911 because he needed a woman

Grass Valley Police Department
6:53 a.m. — A man from the 100 block of Richardson Street reported a man knocked on his door and had a knife in his hand; a woman said the man had been following her.
9:35 a.m. — A caller from Glenbrook Drive and East Main Street reported people pulled in and appeared to be wiping fingerprints off a vehicle. It was gone when officers arrived.
10:40 a.m. — A woman from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported a man stole her purse and fled on foot.
10:57 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a baby locked in a vehicle; a person was cited on unknown charges.

12:02 p.m. — A woman from the 500 block of Jenkins Street reported her son was punching holes in the wall.
1:10 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of East Main Street reported a physical fight involving five or six people, with knives involved. No knives were found. At 2:39 p.m., a caller from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported an assault, with the same suspects being involved. The victim initially did not want to press charges, but later changed his mind after going to the emergency room.
2:09 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported finding a mattress, pornography and possibly stolen items in a crawl space.
2:17 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man who had been asked to leave had returned and was vomiting on the floor and making tenants uncomfortable. He then was vomiting in all the washing machines. He had left the area when officers arrived.
4:22 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Golden Gate Terrace reported a physical fight.
5:07 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported a woman attacked him and left a gouge on his shoulder blade with a garden tool.
5:29 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West Empire Street reported the theft of vehicle registration from a vehicle.
7 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Brighton Street reported people selling books or magazines to benefit children's' charities, but it was a scam.
7:35 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported a woman with bruising to her face and neck, who said her boyfriend had beat her up. At 7:39 p.m., a caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported the woman was pounding on her window, looking for the man. She could not be located.

9 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported the theft of blank invoices and a pricing guide by an ex-employee. The property would be returned.
9:59 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Meadow View Drive reported a former tenant left the water on and flooded the house, and put holes in all the walls. At 1:53 p.m., a man reported an assault. The parties were separated and agreed the earlier incident was a civil issue.
10:11 a.m. — A caller from Old Downieville Highway and American Hill Road reported illegal dumping.
10:48 a.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of North Ponderosa Way reported a person entered her residence last week and stole an ATM card from her purse.
11:18 a.m. — A caller from Lyman Gilmore School reported a 13-year-old climbed a large tree and was 20 feet up, refusing to come down.
11:36 a.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of Johnston Drive reported a residential burglary.
11:48 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Washington Road reported an assault.
1:07 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of River Ranch Road reported vandalism to a residence after a party.
1:43 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Bitney Springs Road reported vandalism to a school.
1:45 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Sun Shadow Circle reported road rage.
1:48 p.m. — A caller from Hutto Road reported the theft of water.
1:50 p.m. — A caller from Lyman Gilmore School reported the theft of a Samsung Galaxy MP3 player.
4:17 p.m. — A caller from Red Dog Road reported four people in a truck trespassing and cutting wood without permission.
4:44 p.m. — A man from Penn Valley Drive reported someone tried to stab him, then left on a bicycle. He called back to report he was locked out. He wasn't sure if he needed the cops, but what he really needed was a woman. Another caller reported a man pulled a knife on several people, then left.
6:07 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Burnette Place reported a felon riding a motorcycle with weapons.
6:25 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive reported a drunken woman talking to herself who then fell over. She then broke out a lens on a truck and was asking customers to buy her beer. She was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violating probation.
6:27 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Liquidambar Lane reported two men soliciting money for college.
6:30 p.m. — A caller from Pine Come Circle and Brooks Road reported people possibly dumping items into a pond.
6:43 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Brunswick Drive reported a man allegedly selling books, going door to door.
6:54 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Greenhorn Road reported a man came to the door and said he was collecting money for an organization.
9:18 p.m. — A man from the 16000 block of Diamond D Drive reported people in camo and carrying guns were on his property and said they were turkey hunting, He said they did not have permission and might have been hunting his dogs.
10:09 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Burnette Place reported slashed tires.
2:46 a.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Pequot Lane reported a man and his son in a physical fight. They were separated but one had a head injury. A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and battery.

12:24 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Nile Street reported a woman yelling, breaking glass and throwing plates.
11:25 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Church Street reported a possible scam at the courthouse.
