Police blotter: Intuition about missing woman proves faulty

8:31 a.m. — A man from the 1400 block of East Main Street reported the theft of disc golf discs, which were found at a local second-hand store.
9:10 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported thousands of flies and possible live turtles at an abandoned restaurant. Property management had not responded to a notification. The building owner was to meet with Animal Control to check on the welfare of the turtles.
9:28 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Church Street reported a transient staying in a location at night and defecating on the property. Extra patrols were requested.
9:54 a.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported a possible bear cub in the area.
11:32 a.m. — A woman from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported her vehicle had been tampered with, with the hood opened.
12:35 p.m. — A woman reported having an “intuitive hit” on a missing person’s vehicle on Brighton Street. Nothing was found.
1:48 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported a fraudulent check.
2:59 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported a man prowling and harassing her.
3:39 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of East Main Street reported a woman shoplifted items, stuffing them under her shirt and wearing stolen shoes. She could not be located.
3:55 p.m. — A woman from Primrose Lane reported the theft of money from her mother’s purse.
4:02 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported the theft of a back license plate.
4:59 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Bennett Street reported a vehicle with two large marijuana plants hanging out of the trunk.
5:02 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sierra College Drive reported a bat hanging on a post.
7:06 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an accident victim fighting with medics.
7:15 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Auburn Street reported hearing a woman screaming and a gunshot. It might have been firecrackers.
7:40 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a person pushed her and threw a watermelon at her house. No evidence of an assault was found.
8:40 p.m. — A caller form Bresee Place reported two suspicious water bottles that might be explosive devices. Nothing suspicious was found.
9:07 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Jenkins Street reported a large group of people talking about drugs. At 9:31 p.m. a caller reported eight people in a fight with screaming and cars “peeling around.” Nothing was located.
9:52 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Neal Street reported a physical fight involving five women and a man.

8:41 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Airport Road reported a dog attacked a baby skunk.
8:44 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported a squirrel in a business.
9:08 a.m. — A caller form the 12000 block of Shady Creek Drive reported squatters.
9:29 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Partridge Road reported a treed bear.
9:35 a.m. — A woman from Murchie Mine and Incline Shaft roads reported possible transients; no one was located.
9:57 am. — A caller from the 13000 block of Lakeview Place reported a dog versus a raccoon; the dog was quarantined.
10:16 a.m. — A caller from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported vandalism to T-posts.
11:25 a.m. — A caller from Robin Street reported the theft of meds from a residence.
12:31 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Carli Way reported a burglary to a fifth wheel.
1:11 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Henson Way reported credit card fraud.
1:54 p.m. — A woman from the 16000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported located her stolen vehicle, which had bene wrecked.
3:39 p.m. — A caller from Social Services reported finding drug paraphernalia in a bathroom.
6:28 p.m. — A caller from Banner Lava Cap Road and Forest View Drive reported an overturned vehicle, which was leaking fluids into the creek.
8:58 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Flying T Road reported a woman pushed her; both women were drunk and it was found to be a verbal dispute only.
1:01 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Willow Valley Road reported juveniles had broken into a building and might be vandalizing it.
