Police blotter: Gypsy in red polka-dot shirt reports truck loaded with bombs

7:03 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Hill Street reported suspicious items left on her front porch.
9:08 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported a man on a mental health hold was trashing a hospital room.
9:54 a.m. — A caller from Bennett and Bank streets reported possible stolen items in an empty lot.
12:47 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported possible drug activity. A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
2:28 p.m. — A man from the 600 block of Walsh Street called the business line for the New York Police Department, asking for a Serbian translator. He said he had been attacked on Walsh Street and his phone had been stolen. He said a man came to him and asked him to drive a truck loaded with bombs. He said he was at a public phone in a cabin, and was able to protect himself and was going to throw bombs and attack people. He said he saw men armed with automatic weapons on the street. He said he was wearing a red shirt with polka dots, and had a bomb and pistol in his hands. He then said he saw a police car, but could not tell the color because "he is a gypsy, so he only sees red and black." The address given does not exist and no one was located.
3:10 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man punched another man, and one man broke a door.
4:37 p.m. — A man from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported he wanted to self-surrender. He was supposed to go to rehab and doesn't want to go; he would like to go to jail.
4:58 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Sutton Way reported a physical fight between a man and a woman, with the woman throwing a chair through a window. She was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, booked and released on $750 bail. At 10:14 p.m., a caller from the 200 block of Broad Street in Nevada City reported a man and a woman in a physical fight. The woman was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.
5:47 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported her tent had been stolen by another transient.
6:49 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway reported a dispute between a man and a woman in a vehicle, with the woman trying to get out and the man yanking her back.
8:43 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a drunken man, who then fought with officers. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest, as well as being drunk in public.
9:30 p.m. — A woman from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported that a man she doesn't know, but who she chose to spend the night with, was fighting with her and calling her names.
4:11 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Whispering Pines Lane reported gas was being siphoned out of fleet vehicles nightly.
6:54 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Whispering Pines Lane reported the theft of two diesel batteries.

9 a.m. — A caller from Matthew and Long Ravine roads reported three men cutting wood illegally; they could not be located.
11:52 a.m. — A caller from Greenhorn and Jones Ridge roads reported gunfire last night and a vehicle off the road.
1:19 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Mother Lode Road reported the theft of an air compressor, welding hood and gloves, welder, table saw, and other items.
2:24 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Combie Road reported accidentally locking his dogs in his car.
3:36 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Combie Road reported a runaway juvenile. A BOLO was issued.
4:50 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Streeter Road reported a suspicious phone call about the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes.
6:03 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Slate Creek Road reported a group of juveniles trespassing at the transfer station; they could not be located.
