Police blotter: Ducklings in distress, rogue lawnmower

7:37 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of South Auburn Street reported a physical fight between a man and a woman. They could not be located.
7:56 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported her 10-year-old son assaulted her several times and was out of control.
8:53 a.m. — A man from the 1600 block of East Main Street reported 100-plus phone calls and requested a ride to jail. He was arrested on suspicion of making annoying phone calls.
10:10 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of West Main Street reported receiving a fraudulent check for $3,120.
10:56 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Taylorville Road reported the theft of movies.
11:30 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported homeless people on a fight, with a woman possibly being hit. A person was cited on unknown charges.
12:46 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Highlands Court reported a woman hit him with her fist.
1:57 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and South Auburn Street reported a mallard duck in distress because three ducklings might have gone into a drain.
3:05 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Empire Street reported a dog that barks all day long, every single day, for a month and a half.
4:05 p.m. — A caller from Bank and Tinloy streets reported two men throwing items at each other; neither wanted charges. At 5:14 p.m., a caller reported a man took his shirt off and challenged another man to a fight. He left before officers arrived.
8:36 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man stole a tip jar and then was fighting with the store’s “boss.” He was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and violating probation.
9:21 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported vandalism to a laundry facility.
9:27 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Donald Avenue reported a gun and cash had been stolen from a safe.
11:37 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported two men took a backboard from the ambulance bay, then dropped it when they were followed. One man was arrested on suspicion of petty theft, resisting arrest, criminal conspiracy and committing a felony while on bail. The other man was arrested on suspicion of petty theft, criminal conspiracy and resisting arrest.
4:11 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a man sleeping outside a business on furniture that was for sale. He was moving on.

8:22 a.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Highway 49 reported an assaultive and dangerous juvenile hitting and punching staff members. The juveniles was arrested n unknown charges.
8:39 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of McCourtney Road reported two lost baby goats.
9:24 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Ringtail Road reported the theft of meds.
9:50 a.m. — A man from red Dog Road reported possibly contributing to a woman’s possible death, and said he has done bad things and needs to go to jail.
10:15 a.m. — A woman reported her husband had been hitting a 2-year-old child.
11:36 a.m. — A man from the 25000 block of Sweetland Road reported a man was interfering with contractors and had cut the locks off a residence.
11:53 a.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported a neighbor might have trapped and killed his cat.
1:53 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Hidden Rock Drive reported an attempted burglary to a vehicle.
2:07 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 bloc of Cottage Hill Drive reported being assaulted and choked by a man.
4:04 p.m. — A man from Misty Dawn Lane and Vandevere Road reported someone might have fired a gun at him yesterday.
4:22 p.m. — A woman from the 23000 block of Lone Pine Drive reported her neighbor mowed her lawn without her permission, because he was sick of looking at her unmowed lawn.
9:36 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Broken Oak Street reported a vehicle in the parking lot doing doughnuts for 30 minutes.
12:44 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported smelling meth fumes.
1:03 a.m. — A caller from Penn Valley Drive and Easy Street reported a man lying in the road.
2:27 a.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready reported a woman needed help getting out of a marijuana cultivation operation. She said she did not know the caller and did not need any help.
