Police arrest 3 more on Buena Vista Street

Law enforcement officers returned to 322 Buena Vista St. in Grass Valley Thursday afternoon, executing the third search so far this week. Three individuals were arrested, bringing the total number of arrests at that address since Monday to 12.

Chief John Foster, with the Grass Valley Police Department, says charges included possession of stolen property, possession of controlled substances and possession of drugs for sale — though the names of the suspects in this round of arrests have not yet been made available.

Officers initially responded to Buena Vista Street Thursday while looking into a traffic infraction.

"There was a complaint of a speeding vehicle, and the person that was speeding was visiting that residence," Foster said. "Once we were there we decided to do a probation search because two of the people in the residence are on probation."

Foster said that a total of eight individuals were in the house at the time of the search, with one more found to be sleeping in a vehicle out back.

Due to the large number of subjects present in the house at the time of the search, the Grass Valley Police Department had to use all available patrolmen, as well as a sergeant, a detective and a Nevada City Police officer on an interagency assist.
