More than 90 volunteers build new trail for ‘United Trails Day’

More than 90 volunteers participated in this year's "United Trails Day" Sunday. The volunteers built a new trail off Highway 20 near the Skillman campground to Omega Road (11E54 Twenty Trail extension). They came from local trail organizations BONC-Bicyclists of Nevada County, BYLT-Bear Yuba Land Trust, GCYC-Gold Country Trails Council, NCWR-Nevada County Woods Riders, and the YBONC-Youth Bicyclists of Nevada County. YBONC received a 2014 grant from IMBA/USACycling and provided lunches for the volunteers.
