It’s all about NASCAR Sunday at the The Union’s Home & Garden Show
April 24, 2013
The Union’s Home & Garden Show is premiering something new on Sunday that organizers are hoping will draw a large crowd and expose people to the event who might not normally attend, said event manager Mary Anne Davis.
Jay Cooper at Riebe’s Auto Parts has arranged to have members of Bill McAnally’s NASCAR Team at the fairgrounds Sunday.
The 50-foot-long NASCAR vehicle hauler will be there all day long Sunday, as will two race cars.
Two drivers from the McAnally Team (Sergio Pena and Hayden Pedersen), along with Bill McAnally himself will be there from 1-3 p.m. to sign autographs and pose for photos.
Bart Riebe is sponsoring this event and is also bringing the Dale Earnhardt car (No. 3) to display all day Sunday (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
He purchased this piece of NASCAR history to ensure people could view it, to keep it from being locked in somebody’s garage collection.
The Union’s annual Home & Garden Show features more than 200 vendors with thousands of ideas for your home and garden.
The show is a one-stop shopping experience for home products and services and those serious about building, remodeling, and landscaping.
This year’s event will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free and parking is $5.
