Frosty forest: Snow at higher elevations in Nevada County

Snow at about 4,000 feet off Highway 20 on Old Blue Road in Nevada City Monday morning. While most of western Nevada County was soggy over the weekend and into Monday, some areas are blanketed by snow at higher elevations. Sugar Bowl ski resort 20 inches of snow from the current storm, with two more inches of snow overnight into Monday morning, bringing its season snowfall to 79 inches at its peak elevations. The National Weather Service said, following Monday’s isolated showers, the rest of the week is shaping up to be mostly clear to sunny with high temperatures in the low 50s.
