Cafe Sierra celebrates first year

Nestled within the popular Club Sierra Sports and Fitness Center in Grass Valley, Cafe Sierra is celebrating one year of service to the community.
“Cafe Sierra food is always fresh and delicious and less expensive than in other restaurants. In this economy, getting good wholesome food that costs less is a real bonus,” said Marc Cuniberti, The Union columnist, “Money Matters” talk show host on KVMR Radio, and friend and mentor to Cafe Sierra.
“Food, Fitness and Friends” is Cafe Sierra’s motto. My partner, Dale Sayles, and I believe it describes this very special place, loved by gym members and the general public. Customers over the year have actively helped to shape our menu, which uses only the finest ingredients.
Made-to-order sandwiches feature fine meats from P.J.’s Deli, of Nevada City. Smoothies designed by fitness trainers support workout programs and overall health. Italian grilled panini sandwiches melt in your mouth, and espresso drinks are freshly ground for each cup.
“Cafe Sierra is the only restaurant I frequent,” said trainer Brandon Bergeron. He developed “Brandon’s Body Boost,” a high-protein smoothie.
“Yoga Berry Burst” smoothie, created by trainer Wanda Perez, is a refreshing meal in a glass.
“Healthful food is equally important as exercise,” said Perez, who also teaches classes on healthy eating.
“Cafe Sierra smoothies have saved me many times after a zumba class,” added trainer Geri Campbell.
