2 kidnap suspects still on the loose

Two men still are being sought in a kidnapping case that reportedly stemmed from allegations of marijuana theft.

Eric Meyer, 44, and A.J. Hill, 30, are suspects in the kidnapping, which came to light after a woman called 911 on March 11 to report that her son was being held against his will.

The man's girlfriend reportedly had been accused by the suspects as having stolen 20 pounds of marijuana from one of them, a woman identified as Michelle Marie Meyer, 45.

The man, who was not being identified, reportedly was lured to Meyer's residence in the 13000 block of Meyers Place by Amber Renee Waldon, 27.

Eric Meyer and Hill reportedly then arrived and beat him, holding him against his will. After being held for about 18 hours, the man reportedly escaped while his captors were distracted.

Michelle Meyer and Waldon were interviewed and subsequently arrested and were booked into county jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery and criminal conspiracy.

The two male suspects, however, have not been tracked down as of yet.

"They're still on the loose," said Nevada County Sheriff's Lt. Steve Tripp. "We're actively looking for them."

Hill is described as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Meyer is 6-foot-2, 255 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.
