Grass Valley Planning Commission to discuss 85-foot Verizon tower

The Grass Valley Planning Commission will host a public hearing tonight to discuss a proposed 85-foot cell tower at 937 Golden Gate Terrace.

The tower, proposed by Verizon Wireless, would be placed within a 900 square-foot fenced area and would include six proposed and three future wireless antennas, six remote wireless radio heads, six future radio heads, and a 20 kilowatt emergency standby generator.

The Planning Commission meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 125 East Main St., Grass Valley.
