Whether it’s eating healthfully to lose weight, or whether to exercise on a busy day, we must decide on the spot. We can’t bottle our resolve; we have to recreate it. Consequently, having a decision-making system to keep on track is essential. Although Suzy Welch developed the 10-10-10 technique to solve professional quandaries, it works equally well for fitness decisions. When confronting choices, try out different responses, running each one of them through three questions: How will I feel about my decision in 10 minutes? In 10 months? In 10 years? The answers will help you keep priorities straight.
