A Nevada City woman has been arrested after allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars from a nonprofit children’s agency. Robin Jean Gauldin, 48, had been hired by Sierra Nevada Children’s Services, a private, nonprofit child care resource and referral agency, in November, said Grass Valley Police Sgt. Steve Johnson. Gauldin was handling the agency’s accounts payable, Johnson said. The nonprofit’s primary role is to connect families in need of child-care options, working with families to help them find caregivers and services.
