Josh Roenicke, a 2001 Nevada Union graduate, completed the MLB season with the Colorado Rockies this week and helped his team preserve two wins. In his two appearances out of the Rockies’ bullpen last week Roenicke faced five batters through one inning, allowed one hit and no earned runs. In Oct. 1’s 7-5 win over the Diamondbacks, Roenicke allowed one hit, one walk, no runs and recorded a strikeout. In Wednesday’s 2-1 win versus Arizona, Roenicke threw two pitches and retired a batter.
