Today is national “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day.” To celebrate, the Youth Bicyclists of Nevada County Foundation will host a day of fun bike activities at Lyman Gilmore Middle School in Grass Valley. Activities include bike inspection, helmet inspection, chain keyring station, t-shirt painting with bike parts, skills clinic, seven bike rodeo safety stations, spin fruit into a smoothie with Fender Blender on a stationary bike, and a group trail ride at 10 a.m. All that is required of interested attendees is a working bike, helmet, completed waiver, and be ready to roll.
