Desert Dave brings ‘Traveling Reptile Show’ to libraries

The Union staff

Bring your cameras and be part of the library’s “Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales” summer reading fun when Desert Dave and his “Traveling Reptile Show” come to the libraries today.

From cute little tortoises to jumbo snakes and gorgeous green iguanas, Dave educates while giving a hands-on experience to those who wish to discover the wonders of these animals. Dave has been handling reptiles for more than 25 years and shows his tortoises, lizards and snakes at schools, libraries, parties and other special occasions. Dave’s reptiles have been on the stage, as well as in movies and commercials.

The show will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Grass Valley Library, Royce Branch (207 Mill St.) and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Madelyn Helling Library (980 Helling Way, Nevada City). It’s free.
