Nevada County Police Blotter: People licking their lips, hurting children

Thursday

8:36 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported two of her tires were slashed during the night.

1:44 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported harassment by an employee, wanting the employee fired. The caller said he doesn't have reception at his residence and when he was advised if he wanted to file a report he would need to be available. He stated he had 30 years of military service and the police had all the information and to do their job. When questioned about obtaining his name the caller again repeated he was in the military for 30 years and said the police had what they needed and to fire that employee and disconnected the call after stating he had provided all the information needed.

3:20 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Brunswick Road and Plaza Drive reported someone appeared to be under the influence of something and she's waving her arms in the air and having a conversation with herself.

3:25 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Empire Street reported a person in the parking lot waving his hands and talking to himself.

4 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported a person in the bathroom showing off a knife he was carrying and is now rolling around in the grass next to a white picket fence. Officers found the subject to be fine and no crime was committed.

4:02 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Central Avenue reported a deal going on in the parking lot by the playground. Officers found no crime. Someone was giving someone else a cigarette.

6:28 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Colfax Avenue reported a vehicle serving, stopped and pulled a construction cone from under his car, then got back on the road. A person was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence.

8:18 p.m. — a caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported someone just shot something through his front window.

2:21 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Kidder Avenue reported that for the second time his lighter and cigarettes have been taken off his front porch and requested extra patrols.

2:28 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Northstar Place reported a female screaming for help. The caller couldn't tell where it is coming from. Another caller reported it was possibly coming through an open window.

8:23 a.m. — A caller near the corner of Woodlake Road and Willow Wood Lane requested info regarding a neighbor who is installing a pool and is creating a traffic nightmare.

8:40 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Squirrel Creek Road reported ongoing instances of damage and theft to various parts of her property. She said it seems to be getting noticeably worse over the last several weeks.

12:22 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road reported two horses ran out of the fairgrounds and were in front of Lyons Lake.

1:16 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway reported hearing second hand that his daughter is removing clothes and getting naked in the rain outside of the residence.

1:35 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported he received a "blow" to his leg from an unknown female.

2:31 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Lava Cap Mine Road reported theft of prescription medication from the residence. The caller called back saying the items were found.

3:22 p.m. — A caller from Bonnie View Way reported that an 11-year-old daughter was receiving sexually inappropriate phone calls from an unknown subject. Officer found no crime committed.

6:57 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Grass Valley Avenue reported someone pouring gasoline on the ground around a parking lot. When the caller saw him he started to walk away carrying the gas can.

7:22 p.m. — A caller from an unknown location reported people on the back of LaBarr Meadows licking their lips and hurting the children.

1:04 a.m. — A caller from Lake of the Pines reported someone attempting to unscrew the electrical box he is normally banging his head against.

7:46 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a missing vehicle. The vehicle was locked and the keys were accounted for.

12:29 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported someone walking around with an open container of vodka in a back pocket and making threats to shoot people to get prescription medication.

5:55 p.m. — A caller near the corner of West Broad Street and Spring Street reported a bus was shot with a paintball.

7:03 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sacramento Street reported a male sitting in front of a business panhandling. The caller said the person doesn't look right and looks messed up. An arrest was made on suspicion of public intoxication.
