Attempted robbery suspect arrested at Grass Valley bus station
March 17, 2017
Lindsay Morgan Gaydos of Grass Valley was arrested on Thursday in connection with an attempted robbery outside of a business in the 100 block of South Church Street.
Gaydos, whose combined bail was set at $5,000, was still in custody as of Friday morning.
Officers responded to a complaint from a merchant reporting an altercation stemming from Gaydos' loitering on the property. When the merchant asked her to leave, the 27-year-old Gaydos reportedly became irate and tried to grab a cash bag from under the victim's arm.
"It looks like there was a struggle over the cash bag," Grass Valley Lieutenant Joe Matteoni said. "They struggled over it, but the suspect was never able to get the bag away."
Officers got a description of the suspect and found her at the bus stop on South Church Street. According to the GVPD, she provided a false name but officers later identified her as Gaydos. She was arrested and booked on a probation violation, attempted robbery, possession of a controlled substance, destroying/concealing evidence and providing false ID.
Her bail was set at $2,000 for the possession charge and $1,500 each for destroying/concealing evidence and providing false ID. There was no bail issued for the attempted robbery or probation violation.
